Hi and thanks for checking out this graphic novel, which has been over 40 years in the making!  Briefly, the Brainwarp character started during my high school years, where the name was originally intended for a newscaster character in a comedy sketch, Jake Brainwarp.  (see photo below)  I then used the moniker for a crazy villain in one of my Super-8 films, and a legend was bored.  I don’t remember any other brainwarps in circulation at the time, in comics or otherwise (my sources: Overstreet’s Comic Book Price Guide 1976, and Horn’s The World Encyclopedia of Comics).  Not that it’s a particularly inventive name.  Anyway, Brainwarp comics, plays, videos, and sketch shows soon followed.  The character’s world has expanded dramatically over the years, and so this is the first time it’s all being presented in one gigantic story.  We hope you enjoy the rudeness!
