MR. SHOW WRITER'S SERIOCOMIC SPY GRAPHIC NOVEL
This January 18, 2023 sees the online release of "I Am Become Murder: A Guy Suave Implosion" - Mr. Show writer/artist Eric Hoffman's satirical, seriocomic homage to the 1960s Spy Boom. The Guy Suave Saga is an epic tale of comedy, tragedy, action, and yes, love! This is the first in a trilogy of books, each exploring a different genre.
These are bizarre characters Hoffman created in high school, which have gone on to feature in a pilot for Adult Swim, hit shows at The Upright Citizens Brigade and Annoyance Theatre, a serialized podcast, and two self-published comic books.
Hoffman says, "It's a dark comedy that's actually quite relevant. Hopefully it's a lot of fun for fans of spy and conspiracy genres. And we'll occasionally have special guest contributors." Including characters created by Matt Walsh (Veep) and Bill Chott (SNL).

Eric Hoffman is known for his groundbreaking work on HBO's Mr. Show, the Netflix follow-up series W/Bob and David, and the Netflix mystery-comedy Girlfriend's Day, which he co-wrote with frequent collaborator Bob Odenkirk. Hoffman also co-wrote and illustrated the McSweeney's humor bible Comedy By The Numbers. Hoffman was a staff cartoonist at Barracuda Magazine and Laugh Factory Magazine.
