​Uninstall is a super fun experiment for us.  Our original intention was to provide an example for our writing students on the basics of putting together a DIY online sketch show.  Although we’ve both had experience creating stage  and professional TV sketch programs, this was our first time with a DIY ‘online’ sketch show, so we wanted to keep expenses and tech to a bare minimum.  The comedy was most important.  Shot everything on our phones, post-production in iMovie, and we either created our own or used royalty-free music and sounds.  The final production was a live show presented on Zoom, combining our pre-filmed bits with live material we tailored for the Zoom experience.  

In my opinion the only problem were the Zoom sketches - where you have no control over who is going to be onscreen at any given moment.  That was sort of a comedy killer here and there, and required additional post-production to make the final cut more seamless.  

I also had to invent our own tech script jargon and descriptions with Zoom specifications, as opposed to your average TV script (eg, actors were responsible for bringing up their own green screen backgrounds during the show).  And somehow technical supervisor JP Lubow was able to coordinate everything for the live broadcast, and also appear in some sketches while doing it.
